A huge thanks to the lads from the team and management for giving us a fantastic evening at the club on Friday, not to mention an unforgettable day out in Croker!! Words can’t express the pride we have for Shane and David and delight for them and the Éire Óg connections on the management team on bringing the cup home to Clare.
Eire Óg celebrated well on Friday night, a fantastic evening was had. Thanks to Mike Brennan for his many photographs from the evening, Eanna Murphy for the drone footage and to all our members who helped out in so many different ways. A shout out to Damien Gormley who played in the bar and to Ollie Mullooly for setting Kieran & Rory up with sounds for the evening.

Fantasy Football 2024/25
Massive congrats again to David, Shane and all involved in the fantastic All Ireland triumph! As we now get ready to don the blood and bandage, the Premier League returns on Friday, 16th August and we're delighted to announce that the Eire Óg Fantasy Football league is back for another season.
We’ve had huge interest and participation over the past two seasons, and it continues to prove a great success. For convenience, the Eire Óg private league will simply renew this season, so those in it last year will automatically be re-entered for this season but you must buy the product online to process your payment. If you no longer wish to partake, you can simply remove your team from the league.
For those who haven’t played before and want to dip their toe, the first step is to register your Fantasy Football team at the following website: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/ Entry is €30 and can be paid at the following link via the club shop: https://eireoginis.ie/products/20724/purchases/new
Aside from banter amongst members and their friends, this is also a club fundraising activity. 50% of total entry fees will go toward prizes with the remaining 50% going toward the development of our club. Prizes will therefore be announced after the closing date for entry. Similar to the past couple of seasons, there will be overall prizes but also monthly prizes to keep players interested throughout regardless of overall standing.
The closing time and date for entry is 6.30pm on Friday, 16th August. Those interested in playing are advised to make payment and join the league well in advance of this deadline. Those in the league after the deadline will be cross checked against those who have made payment via the club shop. Fantasy Football is great fun particularly when competing against friends and club mates. Feel free to spread the word to friends and family alike. All are welcome to join and the more the merrier to again make it a successful fundraising endeavour.
We hope that whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro, you’ll consider entering and spreading the word far and wide to keep us all busy tinkering with our teams over the winter months. Hon the Townies!
Irish Survey
Unfortunately, the recent on-line survey on use of Irish doesn't appear to have worked, it wasn't possible to insert answers in the boxes. With apologies for the technical hitch, could I ask members to fill in the survey again, using the following link, which I believe does work. It's all part of Éire Ógs involvement in Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonnchadh, aimed at promoting greater use of gaeilge in GAA clubs.
