Ladies Football

Éire Óg LGFA Academy.
The U16 girls came out the wrong side of a hard fought game away to Clarecastle on a score of 5-5 to 3-5. Teams were evenly matched, but Clarecastle just pulled away at the end. No match next week as its "bye" week. All age groups will be back to midweek training by April 9th.

All groups back training now on Saturday mornings. Thanks to the parents who have recently volunteered to help our groups - the underage needs more females to keep us training the girls If you are dropping your daughter to training - please approach one of the coaches and let us know when you can cover a session with us!

Academy

U18 hurlers suffered a loss in the final round of the Spring League last Sunday in Sixmilebridge. Their interest in the competition is confined to a Shield semi-final in three weeks.  Our U15 panels had a good week with wins over Kilmurry-Ibrickane in Saturday's Div. 1 first round and the hurlers following up on Thursday night with a deserved win over Crusheen/Tubber.

The U13 footballers get their season underway on Sunday with a visit to our neighbours on Shanaway Rd. Throw-in at 5pm for the first round tie Vs Banner.

The Go-Games season gets up and running on Sunday morning with an U9 Football Blitz in Eire Og at 10am.

Best wishes to Niall Doyle and Luke Vaughan with the Clare Minor hurlers in round 1 of the Munster Championship at 2pm tomorrow in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg.

Best wishes also to Aidan O’Connell, Kieran Doyle and Danny Lyne with the Clare Minor footballers who get their Championship campaign underway on Monday 7th April in Quilty @ 7pm.

The club is also represented in the Celtic Challenge (Minor Hurling) by Dylan Tierney and Brian Lynch in tomorrow’s games in Sixmilebridge. Best of luck to all involved.
