Academy
This year we have 2 teams in minor hurling and minor football. Our hurlers compete in ‘A’ and Academy ‘A’ grades while our footballers compete in Division ‘A’ and Division B/C. The minor championship begins with footballers hosting Kilrush/Killimer on Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Éire Óg.
We are only a matter of weeks away from the GAA Palestine Summer Tour of Ireland visiting Éire Óg on Saturday 26th July. That evening 33 Palestinian kids, 14 adult coaches and about 10 support volunteers will arrive into Ennis on their way from Cork. They will be hosted by volunteer families connected to the club. We aim to give them an unforgettable welcome and share some of our Irish culture and hospitality with them.
The Academy is marking the visit by presenting an Éire Óg top to each child on the tour. These tops will have to be ordered by Thursday this week to ensure delivery in time for the visit. Should anyone wish to help with costs of these tops we are more than happy to include a sponsors name on the front. Contact John Keating at secretaryeireogacademy@gmail.com if you or someone you know would like to contribute to the costs involved. We would like to see as many club members and their families come out to welcome our guests on the evening.
Camogie
Well done to our minors who had a winning start to their championship campaign with a comprehensive win over Kilkishen on Tuesday evening. Nest up for them is Clooney Quin, fixture details to be confirmed.
