Well done to Alan O’Connell and the junior B hurlers who started off their championship campaign with a one point win in a tightly contested game v Cratloe this evening. It’s opening rounds for our ladies football teams on Sunday with our senior ladies footballers travelling to Kilmihill for round 1 at 11am, and our junior B ladies hosting the Banner at 7.30pm, the very best of luck to both teams and their respective managers Brian Fitzpatrick and Auriol Considine. On Sunday at 2.30 our intermediate hurlers head to Sixmilebridge to take on the Mills in round 2 and on Monday evening it’s the starting turn of the junior C hurlers under the guidance of Tadhg MacNamara. Their game v Ennistymon throws in at 6.45pm in Inagh.

Fantasy Football 2026
The Premier League returns on Friday, 21st August and we're delighted to announce that the Éire Óg Fantasy Football league is back for another season. We’ve had huge interest and participation over the past few seasons, and it continues to prove a great success. For convenience, the Éire Óg private league will simply renew this season, so those in it last year will automatically be re-entered for this season but you must buy the product online to process your payment. If you no longer wish to partake, you can simply remove your team from the league.
For those who haven’t played before and want to dip their toe, the first step is to register your Fantasy Football team at the following website: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/
Aside from banter amongst club members and their friends, this is also a club fundraising activity. 50% of total entry fees will go toward prizes with the remaining 50% going towards the development of our club. Prizes will therefore be announced after the closing date for entry. Similar to past seasons, there will be overall prizes but also monthly prizes to keep players interested throughout regardless of overall standing.
The closing time and date for entry is 6.30pm on Thursday, 20th August. We hope that whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro, you’ll consider entering and spreading the word far and wide to keep us all busy tinkering with our teams over the winter months.

U18s
Our minor team’s championship journey came to a heartbreaking end after a fiercely contested semi final against Whitegate last Friday 31st July.
Despite a determined performance from the girls, Éire Óg narrowly lost out on a scoreline of 1-07 to 0-11, with Whitegate edging the contest by just a single point.
Thank you to the management team, parents and of course the girls who travelled throughout the championship to play and support.
Well done to our minor panel on a season to be proud of.
U14s
Our U14 girls have one final round game remaining before the championship reaches the semi final stages.
They welcome Kilmaley to Éire Óg on Wednesday 12th August, throw in at 6pm.
So far, the team has enjoyed a strong championship campaign, recording four wins and two losses.
We encourage all members to come along and support the girls in their final group game. Best of luck to the players & management.

After a short break, our U12 team return to their Go Games blitzes this Saturday 8th August at 10:30am as they welcome Kilmaley to Éire Óg.

The U10 camogie girls have been invited to play in the half time games in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg this Saturday afternoon during half time of the TUS Senior Hurling Championship. Wishing the girls the very best of luck and we hope they really enjoy the experience. The best of luck to our senior hurlers also in round 2 of their championship.

Our minor girls stood up against Cooraclare on a windy and wet Bank holiday Monday - a few late scores meant it didn’t go our way. The girls now contest the Shield finals in a few weeks.
Our U8 girls are playing a challenge game this Saturday in Éire Óg vs Banner - the skills are coming along!
Senior and Junior Ladies championships begin this Sunday, the very best of luck to both teams and managements on the day.
Academy
Congratulations to our Minor A footballers on their excellent victory over Clooney/Quin at the weekend. Hard luck to our Minor C team, who were defeated by Wolfe Tones' first team. We were short on numbers for this fixture, and we'd like to extend a huge thank you to the U15 players who stepped up and represented the club so well.
The focus now turns to hurling this week. Our Minor A hurlers take on Sixmilebridge in Éire Óg on Monday evening, while our Academy team play Kilmaley on Wednesday with both games taking place in Eire Og. We wish both teams the very best of luck. As always, support on the sidelines is greatly appreciated. We also remind all supporters to encourage our players in a positive manner and to show respect to referees and the opposition at all times.
Hard luck to our U13 Academy football team, who narrowly missed out in their Shield semi-final last week. They can be proud of their efforts throughout the season.
We will be changing age groups at the end of August following the Éire Óg Cúl Camp, which takes place from 19th–21st August. Please note that there will be no Academy training during Cúl Camp week.
