After an extended late night battle involving extra time and penalties in UL last Friday, our U21 hurlers progressed to the quarter-finals. The game v Tulla is pencilled in for Saturday 3rd December at 1pm in Tulla. Hard luck to our U21 footballers who exited their campaign following at 6 points to 10 loss v Kilrush Killimer on Sunday morning, thanks to the management team, players and panel involved this year.

Senior Football Munster Campaign
All on board as we head to Tralee this weekend where our senior footballers take on Kerins O’Rahillys in the Munster club semi at Austin Stack Park. We wish all the best to Paul, his management team, the players and panel on the day. To all travelling down to support, thanks in advance, drive safely and arrive in plenty of time for the 1pm throw-in.

A reminder that there will be no cash sales of tickets at the venue. Tickets can be purchased at participating Centra and SuperValu shops or online at the link below.

Any early-bird travellers are welcome to stop by the Kerins O’Rahillys club on enroute to see our U12 boys play in a challenge game from 10.50am. Location link

Management Team Recruitment
We are inviting members to register any interest they may have in helping out our adult teams. These could be parents, whose children have grown up and no longer play, or members whose playing careers have finished and are now interested in rejoining a team in a different capacity. It’s also applicable to graduating coaches from Academy or underage level. All replies are welcome and the Coaching & Games committee will try to help by linking them up with any club teams that may need their skillset and also providing coach training opportunities.

Academy
Hard luck to our U16 hurlers who finished out their campaigns in the "A" Championship and Academy "A" at the weekend. No luck for either team as the Academy team were beaten in Saturday's final followed by the "A" team's defeat in Sunday's semi-final. Both teams performed very well in their competitions and look more than capable of holding their own next year when moving up to U17.

Our competitive season has ended but a number of groups continue to use the AstroTurf for light training and physical development sessions with Cian O Dea.

Our U12s are being hosted by Kerins O Rahillys GAA on Sunday for a challenge game before moving onto Austin Stack Park for the big showdown in the Munster Club Championship. Bus for U12s leaving Eire Og at 8.15 sharp.

Best of luck to the senior team and their management on Sunday. Safe travels to all heading to the Kingdom.

Senior finals colouring prizes
Cian O’Dea visited the Ennis CBS last Friday to distribute the book voucher prizes for the senior finals colouring comp. Some great artwork on display here, well done to all the kids that took part. Many thanks to An Clár as Gaeilge for sponsoring the prizes.

Healthy Clubs Conference update
The Irish Life Healthy Clubs Conference was held recently in Croke Park. Five members of the Éire Óg Inis Healthy Club committee were in attendance and had the honour of presenting all the positive work going on in the club.

The theme of the day was the values of the GAA with Éire Óg presenting in the area of “Teamwork & Volunteerism”. Speakers for the club, Noreen Vaughan and Verona Faughey highlighted all the initiatives we have out in place in our club: Ireland Lights Up, Irish Life Steps Challenge, Gaelic for Mothers n Others, Ferns Fitness Programme, Gaelic for All Programme and our very successful All-Stars programme. We took questions from the floor about the enablers and disablers of recruiting volunteers and showcased our brilliant club at the national convention!

Many thanks to Noreen & Verona for taking to the stage and to the committee members, Ruth Culligan, Fiona Nagle & Linda McDermott for supporting them on the day. Well done to all, Come on the Townies!
