Hi all please see schedule below for the St Stephen's Day Eugene McNamara memorial. 

In previous years we asked each participant on St Stephen's Day to Contribute €10 to the club. 

This year we will again ask for €10 but will send the funds to the three charities below. This money will be collected by the captains so as not to take away from St Stephen's Day draw. 

We hope supporters on the day will also contribute. 

1. The Dillon Quirke Foundation - The foundation plans to screen GAA players for Sudden Adult Death syndrome in memory of former Tipperary hurler Dillon Quirke. 

2. Jigsaw Foundation - Whitegate GAA host a St. Stephens Day Swim in memory of Michael Hynes for the Jigsaw Foundation supporting young peoples mental health. 

3. The Gavin Glynn Foundation - helps families of children battling cancer to travel overseas for treatment not available in Ireland.

Tournament Guidelines:

1. Normal GAA, Camogie & LGFA rules apply.

2. All referee’s decisions are final – please respect our referees.

3. Team captains to agree the number of players on each team beforehand (up to a maximum of 15 and a minimum of 11 players on the playing field at any time).

4. For the Eugene McNamara Memorial Cup and Shield finals, each team shall field 15-a-side teams.

5. All games shall play football in the 1st half and hurling in the 2nd half.

6. Double scores for all female and over-40 players.

7. All quarterfinals and semi-finals are 10 mins-a-side while the Eugene McNamara Memorial Cup and Shield finals are 15 mins-a-side.

8. If a game ends in a draw, then penalties will be taken as follows –

a) 3 penalties for each side - 1st penalty will be football, followed by hurling followed by football. At least 1 penalty of the first 3 penalties must be taken by either a female or over-40 (veteran) player.

b) After 3 penalties each, if both sides are still level, then sudden death applies until a winner is reached with penalties alternating between football and hurling.

c) For penalties, goals count only.

d) For football, the penalty kick shall be taken from the ground at a point 11-metres from the centre of the goal-line.

e) For hurling/camogie, the penalty shall be struck from a point on or outside the 20-metre line.

f) Teams can change their goalkeeper for hurling and football penalties.

9. Each team is responsible for their own colours/jerseys. In the event of a colour clash then one side will wear bibs as nominated by the referee.

PLEASE NOTE - In the unlikely event of a dispute or appeal then a quick conference between the 2 team captains concerned and our organizer (Niall O’Connor) shall be convened to resolve any disputes. All decisions taken are final.
