Our senior and junior A hurlers get their championship campaigns off to a start this weekend. We wish them all the best at the weekend and over the year ahead. There are weekend and season passes available to purchase online via Clare GAA, as well as tickets for individual games. Please note that while pay at gate is available, prices for individual games are cheaper when purchased online. See link below for ticket purchase.
NB: our senior hurling game is not being streamed this weekend. Be sure to get behind our teams and show your support from the stands.

Academy notes
Final Academy Hurling Training Session this Friday evening at 6.30 for U5, U7, U9 and U11 before a well deserved two week break.
Our U17 teams have begun their championships in good form winning both games played so far in either code. Next up this Friday evening is a visit to neighbours St. Joseph's Doora-Barefield in the U17 A Hurling championship. Throw in is at 7pm. Our footballers entertain Clondegad on Wednesday evening in Eire Og in the Minor "B" championship. On Sunday morning at 11am our U17 Academy hurlers take on Clooney-Quin in the "A" competition.
Well done to our U13 footballers who have qualified for the Div. 1 semi-finals having topped the group with four wins from four so far. Our U13 Academy team are acquitting themselves very well in their division also.
Our U13 hurlers host Newmarket on Fergus on Saturday morning at 11am in Eire Og in a semi-final play-off in the Academy "A" competition.

Hard luck to our U13 A hurlers who found Ballyea too strong in the Shield semi-final last Friday night. The lads have worked very hard and have been competitive in the "A" division to their credit.
Our U11 hurlers had a very enjoyable morning in Thursday's Munster GAA blitz in Cusack Park organised by Clare GAA Coaching and Games. On Saturday they travel to Limerick for the football equivalent in the Gaelic Grounds.
The Academy Committee wish to thank all our coaches for their dedication throughout the year.
Congratulations
Éire Óg’s Oisin Fitzgerald and Faruk Bashua made appearances at the half time games in Croke Park over the last 2 weekends. Both boys were selected from the INTO mini 7s hurling and football teams from Gaelscoil Mhicíl Cíosóg to represent Clare for the Cumann na mBunscol games.

Camogie notes
Well done to our County Junior team who will play in the Junior All-Ireland final v Tipperary in Croke Park on Aug 6th. Congrats and best of luck to the team, and to Rebecca Crowe who also plays football with our ladies team.

Lowri Coote from our U12s has been selected to be flag bearer for the camogie all Ireland final on Sunday 6th of August.
Sarah Fitzgerald, Harlow Madden & Eva Loftus will be taking part in the match parade at half time with Clare U14 development squad.
Our U14s have had a tough start to the A championship with 2 losses, next up is Kilmaley on Aug 16th. Our minors start on 31st July v Tulla while our intermediates and juniors start on the 11th and 12th of August respectively.
Ladies football notes
A huge congrats to Éire Óg’s Orla Devitt and the Clare Intermediate ladies who reached the All-Ireland after a thrilling win over Antrim in the semi. The team take on Kildare in the final in Croke Park on Aug 13th , the very best of luck to them. Ticket link here: All Ireland Ladies finals
Our Junior ladies will play in the 7s in Dublin on August 12th. Have a great day ladies!
Our U8s and 10s travel to Wolfe Tones on 5th August for a Go Games blitz. We have 2 teams at U12 this year. Our U14s will play in at the A grade this year. Minors have 3 games under the belt, with losses to Cooraclare and (a very close one to) Corofin and a win over Doora Barefield. Intermediate championship starts on August 20th while our juniors round 2 game.

Best wishes to Bobby Gray/Fergus Dry Cleaners on his retirement. Bobby was one of the driving forces for our club lotto for many years and continued selling it in his shop up until Covid struck. He and the Fergus Dry Cleaners crew have provided a great service washing many a jersey for us over the years. Put the feet up and enjoy the retirement Bobby, thanks from all at Éire Óg Inis.
Clare GAA Cúl Camps
Clare GAA have asked us to share details of 3 additional Cúl Camps taking place in Clareabbey next month.
None of the camps clash with our own *Eire Og Camp* on 8th to 11th August.
For parents looking for some extra activities for kids.
